Still feels new

My face is burning.
Can you see?
I look around me and see,
No one.
Blank holes where life should be.

Oh the momentous morn.
Yearning away for what?
You know less than I.
It's in here, somewhere.
I'm standing in a whirl wind of nothing.

But still I'm here.
Curious.

The commute can be a pain.
Sometimes.
A dull aching numbness of,
Normality.
So I stand. And wait.
And think of the day before.
And yes.  As I thought.
I come right back to myself.

The sun is hurting my eyes now.
Barely awake.

A normal day still feels new.
